HOW TO VOLUNTEER
The DCBE/Acton VFD is always seeking quality individuals looking to be part of the fire/EMS service. Last year the Department responded to over 900 calls for service which called for hundreds of man hours.
To volunteer, an applicant does not need any prior training or experience to join, although its always helpful.
Applicants do need to be at a level of fitness to handle the personal protective gear (addition 45+ lbs) and fire fighting equipment used.
Volunteers make a commitment to attend business meetings and training held on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of every month. The membership meets at 6:00 pm for dinner and the meetings begin at 6:30 pm with training starting after the meetings.

Initial & on-going training
The DCBE/Acton Volunteer Fire Department team is deeply invested in the emergency education and the continuing preparation of our membership. Trainings are designed to teach different kinds of techniques they can engage in and what they should stop doing in order to protect themselves.
